How do we define the events of police shooting, police deaths, and terrorist attacks as a major issue? We see them on the news and social media which shoves it in our face. But are they really a huge reoccurring issue or simply isolated incidents? Anything that comes on the news and happens in a session is imeddiately tagged as an issue around the country. I as well have been falsely led by the media into thinking that some currents events in this country are constant issues. But in reality they are not. They are merely incidents that have occurred and that have been blasted into your mind over and over. For example, there are over 1 million police officers and last year 123 died in the line of duty. All from various causes. 42 died from gun related incidents. Once you look at the math, you have to ask yourself, are officer deaths an issue? The same can be said for police brutality as well. We are always shown horrific tragedies in the media but not told that these are rare events. We are never told of the other situations that have the exact opposite outcome. Our emotions run rampant and our logics is thrown out the window. But I advise you to use your reasoning. As we move forward continue to always question the narrative that is being provided. Remember the reality we live in is not always based on dualities. Live in a world of GRAY…….
